When a bowl is broken in Japan, back together with the cracks been filled
with gold creating a beautiful lining. This is to emphasize the beauty in what
was once broken. They believed that when something has suffered damage and has
a history it makes it more beautiful and the same goes for human beings.
Everything that you have been through and
everything that you are going through doesn’t make your life uglier although it
may seem that way when we’re going through it. It’s up to us to choose to paint
our struggles with gold and make it beautiful, wonderful and colorful.
You are not broken beyond repair. You can
pick yourself up from where you are and begin again. They fact that you are
been knocked down doesn’t mean that you are knocked out totally. The fact that
there is no road is not the same as there is no way. You can always find a way
out of your situation. You need to use your failures, delays, setbacks as an
opportunity to learn what’s happened and become a better and smarter person.
Everything that has happened to you has happened for a reason. And the reason
is to make you grow, make you strong and tough.
Don’t live in self-denial. The more you
deny what’s happening to you, the more you complain, blame and explain why are
such things happening to you and don’t accept what’s happening to you then it
doesn’t become useful. The moment that we accept and find what’s useful in the
struggle, the things that we’ve been through and still going through that’s
just like us painting the cracks in our broken pieces gold.
Turning something that could be ugly into
something beautiful and inspiring when what you have been through is
inspiration for other people then it was all worth it. So don’t get stuck on
how things used to be. There is a quote that said, “ Every new level of your life will
demand a new you.” And sometimes it takes been broken in order to
become that new version of yourself. So if you are going through hard times be
proud of the scars of your difficulties, struggles and challenges it signifies
a badge of honor for not giving up but fighting up to overcome the pressures of
life. Your scars indentify you as a victor over your challenges without
surrendering to temporary defeat. You might or may have been broken like a
ceramic plate but not totally crushed. Design your broken life with shades of
gold to radiate in beauty and glory. The more broken you become they more
beautiful will your scars become. Trials in life can be tragedies or triumphs,
depending on how we handle them. Triumphs don’t come without effort and
struggle. Nothing worthwhile in life comes without a struggle. It is in the
midst of struggle that we discover our strength and overcome our fear ,
timidity and weakness.
People who overcome obstacles are more
secure than those who have never faced them. We all have problems and sometimes
feel discouraged. Everyone faces disappointments; but winners don’t get
disheartened. The answer is perseverance. An English proverb says, “ A
smooth sea never made a skillfull mariner.” Everything is difficult
before it becomes easy. We cannot avoid our problems by running away. Only
losers quit and give up.
Most people only see the beautiful gold
decorated in the once broken ceramic plate and admire it but they fail to
realize the story begin the scars decorated with gold. People don’t see the
pains, sweat and sacrifices that had been made. They only see the end result
and they think that person got lucky or had been at the right place at the
right time.
Setbacks are inevitable. A setback can act
as a driving force and also teach us humility and lessons. In grief, you will
find courage and faith to overcome the setback. Learn to become victors not
victims. Fear and doubt short – circuit the mind. Ask yourself after every
setback: What did I learn from this experience ? Only then will you be able to
turn a stumbling block into a stepping stone and begin to pain your scars with
gold. Michaelangelo said, “ If people know how hard I had work to gain
my mastery, it wouldn’t seem wonderful at all.”
