BUILDING COURAGE & SELF CONFIDENCE

Courage is created by taking action. The first aspect of courage is exhibiting the courage for you to launch in the direction of your dreams and goals. It is the capacity and ability to willingly take action in achieving your goals.
Fear is the greatest barrier to success that holds many people back from taking action on their beautiful dreams. Until you take the first step you will never know how deep is the depth of the stream. While some people are taking action on opportunities, some are there watching doing nothing. When life presents you an opportunity to launch out and you decide to sit. You’ll be sitting forever. When you take action towards the things you fear the death of fear is certain. By taking the first step towards achieving your goal you are walking towards the door of success.
As you move on more doors will begin to open. I mean doors that you never knew had existed. But you wouldn’t have been able to see these doors of successful opportunities if you were not already in motion towards the direction of your goal.
Success doesn’t come by doing nothing. It comes when you start to do something. Start where you are and grow where you are planted and you will be invited to high places where you are needed in course of time. When your develop that habit of taking constant action your life will be in motion and you will be open to opportunities and possibilities that you would not have been aware of it if you  had waited for the perfect time to act. And the truth is that there is no really perfect or right time to act. The best time to take action is now!
Courage is the iron quality for success. The first part of courage is willingness to begin, the second part of courage is the willingness to endure and the third part of courage is willingness to keep trying. It is courage to persist in the face of every setback and difficulty that makes the difference. And exposes your test of character.
You have heard it said that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. The world is full of people with high and lofty goals and ambitions, but there are very few people who have the courage , the discipline , and the will power to carry them out. The best thing about practicing courage is that it makes you feel stronger, more confident and happier.
Like Paton moving at the gun barrel , you need courage to subdue your worst fears. The actor Glenn Ford said; “ If you do not do the thing you fear, the fear controls your life.” The fear is the puppeteer and you are the puppet. If you don’t deal with the fear, and cut the strings that hold you to the fear, the fear will hold you in bondage.
The way to overcome fear is to confront it. You resolve to face the fear, deal with the fear and put and end to the fear by exhibiting courage. The only difference between the brave and coward is that the brave person develops courage to do the things they fear while cowards run away from fear. Mark Twain summed it up this way, “ Courage is not lack of fear or absence of fear. It is mastery of fear, control of fear.”
